2018 Riesling

Crafted from grapes grown along the eastern shore of Seneca Lake, our dry Riesling exhibits bright acidity, nice minerality, and notes of Meyer lemon, lime, apple and clementine.

Artis Riesling will pair well with oysters, fish tacos, spiced chicken, and mild cheeses.

2016 Chardonnay

Our unoaked Chardonnay was made with grapes grown on the North Fork of Long Island. They were whole cluster pressed and the juice was fermented with natural yeast in cooled stainless steel tanks to preserve its fruit character. As with a classic style Chablis, the wine was aged sur lie for 6 months to add complexity and roundness.

This Chardonnay has lush aromas and flavors of melon. peach, and honey, with a hint of creme brûlée. It may be paired with roasted chicken, grilled seafood, or simply enjoyed on its own.

This wine is a California style Pinot Noir - fruit forward expressive of cherry, strawberry, and blueberry. Hints of black tea and earthy notes complement the dark fruit aromas and flavors. Aged in French oak, our Pinot Noir offers moderate tannins with a well-balanced round finish.

It will pair nicely with grilled chicken, duck, seared salmon, and mushroom risotto.

2017 Merlot

We selected grapes from Paso Robles, California to craft our Merlot wine. A swirl of the glass reveals aromas and flavors of plum, black cherry, blackberry, and clove. The characteristics of French oak aging are well-integrated and complemented by the smooth velvety finish, which reveals hints of mocha.

Merlot is a versatile wine that pairs well with a variety of foods such as barbeque chicken, pizza, ratatouille, eggplant rollatini, and beef stew.

2016 Cabernet Sauvignon

Our Cabernet Sauvignon wine was produced from grapes grown in Suisun Valley, California.  The vineyard’s location and soil are conducive for producing a fruit forward wine.  Aged in American oak for 12 months, this wine offers aromas and flavors of red fruit such as strawberry and cherry, as well as floral and herbal notes. It will pair nicely with your favorite pizza, roasted chicken, or beef.

2017 L W 10

Long Wharf 10 was handcrafted in honor of my ancestor Timothy Prout. If was recently discovered that Timothy, the second generation born in America, was a Boston merchant during the early 1700’s. He imported and sold wine from his shop on Boston’s Long Wharf in Warehouse No 10.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sangiovese, the personality of this wine is an expressive balance of these grape varieties.  It showcases its complexity through aromas and flavors of blueberry, blackberry, cherry, and plum, as well as revealing herbal notes, and a spiciness contributed from French oak aging.  LW 10 is a versatile wine – enjoy it by the glass or pair with your favorite meal!

2017 Sangiovese

Sangiovese is the most widely grown grape variety in Tuscany, Italy producing wonderful Chianti and “Super Tuscan” wines.  We are fortunate that it is also grown here in California.   

Artis Sangiovese is a dry, medium-bodied wine, offering notes of dark red fruit, roasted pepper, and spice, with a hint of oregano.  The savoriness of the wine allows it to be paired with a variety of foods.  We recommend serving with pizza, pasta, roasted meats, and hard cheeses.

2016 Red Blend

Inspired by our travels through Spain, we handcrafted this blend from the same varietals used to make exquisite Rioja wines for centuries. We carefully selected California grown grapes and a specific yeast isolated from wineries in Spain.  Following tradition, it was aged in American oak for 15 months.

The wine exhibits aromas and flavors of red fruit, spice, herbs, and vanilla.  It may be paired with roasted or grilled chicken, beef, or lamb.  It will also pair perfectly with a plate of charcuterie.

2016 Cabernet Sauvignon 169

Cabernet Sauvignon 169 is a French clone that arrived at UC Davis in 1997.  Since its release in 2003. vines have been widely planted in the Napa Valley region. The grapes produce a deeply colored wine with complexity and structure. It has a bold and lingering mouth feel with a well-balanced acid to sugar ratio. Our Cabernet Sauvignon 169 was aged in American oak for 16 months. 

This wine exhibits aromas and flavors of raspberry, cherry and blackberry with a hint of violets and spice. It may be paired with roasted, grilled, or barbequed chicken, beef, and lamb. It is perfect for dinners with family and friends.

2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

The grapes used to craft our Reserve wine were grown on a pristine six acre vineyard on the foothills of the Mount George Range and the Vaca Mountains. The vines are grown at a higher elevation on rocky volcanic soil which concentrates the grapes, giving the wine complexity and structure. Our Reserve was aged in American oak for 18 months.

This Cabernet has complex aromas and flavors of dark red fruit, cocoa, and a herbal quality which lingers in the finish. The tannins are balanced making this a well structured wine. It will pair wonderfully with beef tenderloin, braised short ribs, or grilled steak with chimichurri.
